IAN SCOTT
Director UK & Ireland, Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) Ian Scott started as director UK & Ireland of the Government of Dubai, Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) office in London in October 2007. The DTCM was formed 20 years ago and since 2003, the UK has been Dubai’s largest source market with almost 11% of worldwide visitors. The ongoing objective is to position Dubai as a leading outbound tourism destination and commerce hub for the UK and Ireland markets. Ian came with several years of experience in the travel and tourism industry including tour operating, retail, destination and airline marketing. He has previously worked with organisations such as First Choice Holidays, The Walt Disney Company and Eos Airlines. Dubai is at the forefront of the luxury travel market with product and service levels that are world renowned. Dubai’s leading luxury hotel brand names include Jumeirah and Armani, soon to be joined by Versace, with countless other luxury hotels along the beach, in the city, by the marina or in the desert; and Dubai’s shopping malls are home to almost every major luxury retail brand imaginable. |
