GEMMA ANTROBUS
Managing Director, Haslemere Travel Gemma Antrobus joined Surrey’s leading independent travel agent, Haslemere Travel, in May 2008. Prior to joining the multi award-winning agency, Gemma’s Hotel Management career had taken her to Kenya and then to Jamaica, but she finally settled in London in 2001. As Sales & Events Manager for high-profile venues in the capital, Gemma planned and ran numerous film premiere parties, fashion shows, awards ceremonies and corporate events. Celebrating its 21st anniversary this year, Haslemere Travel’s founders, Andrew and Di Brownrigg appointed Gemma in 2008 as the new Managing Director, to carry the company forward while embracing changes in technology and venturing into new areas of marketing and PR. Gemma has used her event-planning experience to put in place monthly client events, including a regular luncheon club, which has been successfully operating for nearly two years. Gemma truly believes that the company’s success during these unusual trading circumstances worldwide, the growth of the brand and its numerous, recent awards, lies mainly in the development of the ‘experiential’ side of AiTO ‘Agent of the Year’ Haslemere Travel’s multi-faceted marketing plan. |
