 DEREK JONES
Distribution Director, Kuoni UK Derek Jones is a well-known and highly respected member of the travel profession with an exceptional profile built in a variety of demanding roles over 20 years in the industry. Currently working for Kuoni as UK Distribution Director with a brief to develop a Kuoni Retail Estate portfolio. He was previously responsible for the UK Distribution (retail, call centre and third party) of TUI Travel PLC throughout a period of unprecedented change in the market. A familiar figure to many, he has won a reputation as a passionate, approachable, knowledgeable and commercially minded senior travel professional. With over seven years’ experience at main board level with Lunn Poly, Thomson, TUI UK & Ireland, and Kuoni, he has developed a wealth of experience in the travel sector. Following the merger of Thomson and First Choice he successfully led the integration of the two distribution businesses. He then took a short career break to travel around Australia with his partner Natalie and their new baby before joining the UK Board of Directors at Kuoni.
